02Eden is a platform, not a matchmaker
Eden provides tools that help adults meet. We do not arrange relationships, and we do not promise that you will find a match, a date, a partner or any particular result. Matches, Seeds, Golden Apples, growth stages and suggestions are features of the service, not guarantees.
03You are responsible for your own interactions
Members are independent people, not Eden employees or agents. Eden is not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or offline. Profile details such as ethnicity, occupation, height, age, relationship status and location are provided by members themselves and are not verified by Eden, except as stated in the next section. Distances shown are approximate.
04What "Verified Human" means
The Verified Human badge means a member completed a live video check that, at that time, matched them to their profile photos. It does not mean Eden has confirmed their legal name, age, marital status, intentions or history. Eden does not conduct criminal background checks unless we clearly say so, and we do not screen members for health conditions, including sexually transmitted infections. A badge never replaces your own judgment.
05Meeting in person
Meeting anyone you met online carries risk. Meet in a public place, tell a friend where you are going, arrange your own transportation, stay in control of your drinks and belongings, and leave if you feel unsafe. Eden's date check-in tool is a convenience and may not work at all times; it does not contact emergency services. If you are in danger, call 911. You assume the risks of meeting and interacting with other members.
06Messages, Seeds and video dates
Video dates and messages happen through third-party technology and may be interrupted. Never share passwords, bank or card details, or send money or gifts to someone you have not met. Eden will never ask for your password by email or text. To keep members safe, Eden may review reported content and may use automated tools to detect fraud, spam and abuse, as described in our Privacy Policy.
07Forbidden Fruit
Forbidden Fruit is an optional, separate area for adults seeking open, non-monogamous or couples-based connections. It is hidden unless you choose to join, and you must confirm you are 18 or older and agree to see adult content. Forbidden Fruit profiles are less restrictive, and members may add explicit photos to a private gallery that only other opted-in Forbidden Fruit members can see. Explicit photos may never be used as a profile photo and never appear in Eden's main garden. You may only upload images of yourself, or of other adults who have agreed to be shown. Posting anyone's intimate images without their consent, or any sexual image involving a minor, is strictly prohibited; Eden removes it, permanently bans the account, and reports child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement. Everything in Forbidden Fruit must be between consenting adults and lawful where you are. Joining is your decision, and you are responsible for the boundaries you set and the content you choose to view or share. Images shared with other members can be saved or captured by them, and Eden cannot fully prevent that.
08Couple profiles
Each person in a linked couple profile must be an adult who agrees to the profile and completes verification. Each partner is responsible for their own conduct.
09Eden Events
Eden Events may take place at venues owned and run by third parties. Eden is not responsible for those venues, their staff, food, drinks or premises. Drink responsibly and follow the venue's rules. By attending you accept the ordinary risks of a social event.
10Content
Members own the content they post and are responsible for it. By posting, you confirm you have the right to share it. Eden may remove content or accounts that break our rules, at our discretion, without notice.
11Memberships and prices
Free and paid features, prices and plans may change. Prices shown on the site before launch are planned prices. The price, billing period, renewal and cancellation terms that apply to you are the ones shown at the time you buy. Launch offers, such as free months of Eden Gold for the first members to join, are limited to the stated number of people in sign-up order, cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and end after the stated period. When a free period ends, you will not be charged unless you choose a paid plan.
12No warranties
Eden is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, Eden makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any member is who they say they are.
13Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Eden and its owners, officers, employees and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss or harm arising from your use of Eden or from your interactions with other members, online or offline. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid Eden in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
14Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold Eden harmless from claims arising from your use of Eden, your content, your conduct with other members, or your breach of these terms.
15Other sites and services
Eden may link to or rely on other companies, such as payment, video and verification providers. Their services are governed by their own terms, and Eden is not responsible for them.
16Governing law
This disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
17Changes
We may update this disclaimer. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Eden after a change means you accept it.
